Design and develop an app to improve the everyday life of junior doctors at Hôpitaux de Paris.

APHP app overview

Context

Created during my 4th year at HETIC for “L'Assistance publique - Hôpitaux de Paris,” the French public health establishment serving Paris and Île-de-France region. The team: 1 project manager, 4 developers, 1 designer.

The brief was deliberately open: “We don't know what we want. We don't know if it's an app, a website, whatever. We just know they need help.”

Research

We conducted 20 interviews (14 in-person, 6 by phone) at Albert Chenevier Hospital in Créteil. Average interview duration: 20 minutes. We identified four key needs: finding contact numbers from other hospitals, better schedule overview, organizing duty schedules, and increasing belonging among Paris interns.

Testing

We used Maze for virtual user testing with Figma prototypes due to COVID-19 constraints. This allowed us to iterate quickly on our designs and validate our solutions with real medical students.
